Message from the Chair of the Board: Vicky Xu

Dear members,
After five years of strong dedication and hard work from our alumni volunteers, the SJTU Alumni Association of Silicon Valley has grown to over 1000 members and many active volunteers. In October of 2005, we had the second election of the Board of Directors. We are also making changes to the by-law to further improve the structure of the organization and make our organization more effective and beneficial to our members.
The new board of directors is consisted of seven Directors: (in the
alphabetic order)
Leo Cai, Maggie Cai, James Jin, Williams Lu, Alan Xing, Vicky Xu,
Miangang Zhao
The advisory board members remain as:
Sheng-Wu Xie, President of SJTU
Zong_Guang Wang, Former Chairman of Council, SJTU
Hai-Bo Dai, SJTU alumnus, Director, Pudong District, Shanghai
The current board has a term of three years and will focus on:
1. Complete the amendment of the by-law
2. Recruit more active volunteers to the Volunteer Committee and the
organization.
3. Recruit more established alumni to the organization to provide
mentoring to the younger members.
